CBSE curriculum
Deeksha Convent was founded in 2001 by Mr. Santosh Kumar, M.Sc. (Phy. Hons.) — an energetic young educator with a single, specific goal: to eradicate illiteracy from Sarbahda and the villages around it. What began as a small school with a handful of classrooms has grown, over more than two decades, into an institution teaching Pre-Nursery to Class X under the CBSE curriculum.
Sarbahda was chosen on purpose. It sits close enough to Gaya to draw families from across the district, and close enough to Bodh Gaya that the school's two founding words — truth and peace — were never just a motto on a crest. They were the actual working method: correct a child privately, praise a child publicly, and never mistake noise for learning.
Today, more than 800 students study here, with a second campus at Saraunji extending the same approach to another community. We've added classrooms, a science block, and smart boards. We haven't added the things that made our very first batch of students feel unseen.

Every student is assessed on where they started, not just where the class average sits — academically and in conduct.

Timeline
Deeksha Convent is founded in Sarbahda by Mr. Santosh Kumar, M.Sc. (Phy. Hons.) — a young educator with a vision to eradicate illiteracy from Sarbahda and the surrounding villages.
A branch office opens at Saraunji, near Teusa, Gaya, carrying the same teaching into a second community.
More than 800 students now study here, Pre-Nursery to Class X, under the CBSE curriculum.
Admissions, results, and parent communication move onto BodhSaarthi.
